New Pterodactyls Are Born!

I am happy to announce that Critical Aspect Inc. is now using a new machine shop for all of its stainless steel metal work...Sousa and Demayo of Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts. This company is top-notch! They actually make small submarines that are used by Homeland Security to inspect below the hulls of large ships that come into port. Sousa and Demayo is a very well-equipped shop with many years in the business and can perform practically any function needed.
Pictured here is Ken Mello, Plant Manager, holding one of the Pterodactyl backplates from the first batch just "hot off the press". Previous backplates (made elsewhere) were given an electropolish finish. This finish looked great when the backplate was new but would tend to show every scratch with use. Ken suggested switching to a brushed finish that wouldn't show scratches as readily as the electropolish finish. I look forward to working with Ken in the future with continued improvements to this product. Take care for now...hope to see you at Beneath The Sea in New Jersey March 23-25, 2007...Gary A. Cresswell, President.
