Another Patent Granted!

Well...Critical Aspect Inc. now has another patent "under it's belt"...The Flying "D" Ring (shown as the lower "D" rings in the picture). These unique "D" rings lock-into the harness...a design that we call "Harness Lock" (what else?). This is accomplished by using a very simple locking post welded onto the front of the middle bar of the webbing slider. This post engages with one of the grommets set into the harness. The current Pterodactyl harnesses now have a series of four grommets on each side...to account for differences in the heights of divers. When so engaged, this "D" ring cannot slide-down the harness no matter how heavy the stage bottles. And The Flying "D" ring is used as the "upper attachment point" for stages. The grommets are specially-curved to prevent them from pulling-out of the harness when bending over the middle bar. On another note...my friend David Valaika, owner of Indian Valley Scuba (Harleysville, PA), has just informed me that he is the Director of The International Association for Handicapped Divers (America)...IAHD. He will be having a booth at DEMA and will be displaying a scooter rig set-up for handicapped divers. Guess what backplate he has chossen for this display...The Pterodactyl, of course! And this makes very good sense. The Pterodactyl's design lends itself perfectly to anyone having an issue with mobility. Couple this with a scooter...what could be better? Please come see David Valaika at the IAHD booth at DEMA and log-onto www.indianvalleyscuba.com and also www.iahd-americas.org. See you at DEMA!
