Pterodactyl in Key Largo

Recently I sent a Pterodactyl Backplate/Harness System to a PADI Instructor in Key Largo, Florida...Pamela Wooten. I would like to share some of Pam's comments..."I found the suiting-up process much like I'd expected...effortless, easy and just as it should be! No need to crouch your butt down below the bench to wiggle your arms up into the harness...those days are gone. You sit like a normal person and have all the arm space you need to don this backplate and harness! I could have donned it with both my computers on, no problem. I was smiling at all the people watching. I boarded the dive boat and left The Pterodactyl mounted on a tank in a highly-visable spot and went upstairs and watched as several people stopped-by and looked at it. That was neat! The Pterodactyl has such ease of entry and exit...simply remarkable! It can't get any better. And I love The Mega Buckle. Once in the water, it feels like a good-fitting glove and the harness is easy to adjust to get the tightness your're used to. The backplate-mounted "D" rings are extremely accessible. I was worried that they might stick-out too far but that's not a problem. And they are positioned right where my hand goes when I need to clip/unclip something...you don't even have to think about it, it's second nature. I spoke with my Cave Instructor (he dives a Dive Rite Transpac II) and he told me the reason he never uses a backplate is because he'd watched too many people struggle getting in and out of them. He said after speaking with me and looking at The Pterodactyl photos, he thinks you've solved this problem. I told him...absolutely you've solved this problem!" What a great e-mail!

DEMA Bound!

Hello everyone! I haven't blogged in a while...sorry, things have been slow with this recession. Although, lately business has been on a slight upswing here at Critical Aspect Inc. And I will now be attending the upcoming DEMA Dive Show in Orlando, Florida this November 4-7, 2009. I'm not sure what booth number just yet. My good friends of Wreck Diving Magazine, Joe and Heidi Porter, will undoubtably be shocked and sickened to learn that I may be exhibiting disturbingly-close to them as I have requested several available booths in their neighborhood. Last year's DEMA show seemed noticeably effected by the recession but I am anticipating an improvement with this year's show. Well...I can't wait to be there! I will post my booth number here in Planet Pterodactyl as soon as I know it.
