PRODUCT/COMPANY CHANGES
Hello everyone...Gary here. Just got back from the increadable DEMA trade show in Orlando, Florida. This was the BEST show ever! I made numerous excellent business contacts with interested dive shops across the country. The Pterodactyl will now start showing-up in dive shops. This is a very important advancement for this venture. However, so as not to force these shops to compete with the retail sales that I continue to make over the internet...any such sales will now have to be at the current MSRP. Up to now, such internet retail sales were at (what has now become) the wholesale prices. Also, I have now included a Minimum Allowable Price (MAP) in the WHOLESALE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. This MAP will be set at 5% less than the current MSRP and will protect the investment that dive shops have made in our products.
Finally, I am happy to announce that I will be including a two inch wide crotch strap with the Pterodactyl. The crotch strap is not strickly necessary with this product but numerous divers have commented that it is a good idea and they prefer to use one. The Pterodactyl does tend to ride-up on the diver's back when on the surface with BC inflated. I have noticed this as well. Although, realisticly, most divers don't spend much time on the surface. And my twin tank rig has always been stable on my back when underwater. I chose the two inch width because...well, it just seems to make better sense than a one inch size...more "genital-friendly". Numerous jokes come immediately to mind in this regard. I have envisioned a crotch strap with lace for the occassional woman diver although, somehow, I don't think this is the right direction to go. However, I am experimenting with softer/more pliable "seatbelt" webbing which I think will be a better choice than the usual harness material for this purpose.
OK...that's all for now. I look forward to hearing from all the interested dive shops that I had the pleasure of speaking with at DEMA. And thank you for all the compliments on my designs throughout the show and for showing such interest in my products! Next year is Las Vegas...we will be there!
